Is this really free?
Yes! The launch version, covering the first 4 acts of the campaign, is completely free to download and use. We plan to introduce premium features for endgame content in the future.
Is this safe to use? Will I get banned?
DudsGuide is designed with Path of Exile's Terms of Service in mind. It acts as an overlay and does not inject code or automate any in-game actions. It reads publicly available game state information in a safe manner, similar to other popular community tools.
What content is currently covered?
The current version provides comprehensive, step-by-step guides for Acts 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Path of Exile 2 campaign.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
Currently, DudsGuide is only available for Windows. We are exploring options for other platforms based on user demand.
Does the overlay automatically track completed steps?
Not yet. Currently, you need to manually mark steps as complete, either by clicking a checkbox or using a configurable keybind. We are actively working on a solution to automate this using the official Path of Exile 2 developer tools.
Does the overlay show my character's position on the map?
No, the overlay does not show your live character position. It is designed to show you the optimal path, key objectives, and the general layout of the zone, so you always know where to go next.
Does the overlay show the exact layout for my current map?
The overlay shows a general, representative layout for each zone. Since Path of Exile 2's maps are randomly generated, the exact position of elements (like objectives or bosses) may vary. The guide shows you all the important elements you need to find. In the future, we aim to include multiple common layouts for each zone to improve accuracy.
What new features and content are planned for the future?
We plan to add many more guides beyond the main campaign, including endgame content like the Atlas Points, Trials of Ascendancy, and popular farming strategies. We are also constantly improving the overlay's features and plan to add more automation (like tracking your position and completed steps) as GGG (Grinding Gear Games) makes more in-game information available through their official developer tools.
